Officials are calling out to local businesses, organizations, and community groups as the City of Courtenay makes preparations for Canada Day celebrations.
It’s inviting vendors and parade participants to be part of the festivities on June 30th and July 1st in Downtown Courtenay and Lewis Park.
There’s no cost to participate in the Canada Day parade, where floats, walking groups, decorated vehicles and other creative entries are all welcome.
Courtenay is also looking for sponsors to donate new bikes and helmets to support the return of the long-running children’s bike draw.
The City is also looking for potential vendors for both the Night Before concert on the 30th and the Canada Day celebrations on July 1st.
Applications for vendors, information booths, and parade entries close June 14th or until filled up so early applications are encouraged.
Find application forms and full details at Courtenay Canada Day or stop by the Lewis Centre (489 Old Island Highway).
