Vancouver Police have cancelled an Amber Alert for a three-year-old boy who was abducted from Children’s Hospital Monday afternoon.

Phaivanh Correia-Chanthabouala was last seen at Children’s Hospital around 12:40 p.m. on September 19, and investigators believe he was taken by his mother, Jenny Chanthabouala.

The boy had been receiving treatment for a medical condition, and police were concerned for his health and safety.

In a release, police say RCMP officers located the child and his mother earlier this morning.

The child is now receiving care and the suspect has been arrested.

The investigation is ongoing.
