Vancouver Island MusicFest has announced the first series of artists to perform during the Festival.

Artistic Director and Executive Producer Doug Cox says the line up
delivers something for everyone.

First to be announced are Roots music legends, Dave Alvin and Jimmie
Dale Gilmore.

The two have been friends for 30 years - one a Grammy winner, the
other a nominee - but realized they’d never played together, so
started doing so in 2017.

Gilmore was twice named country artist of the year by Rolling Stone.

MusicFest is running July 14th thru the 16th.
