The Comox Valley Regional District, as part of the Comox Valley Sewer Conveyance Project, will be closing a section of Comox Road next week for construction of the sewer forcemain.
It’s taking place overnight Wednesday, September 3.
The construction zone will be closed to all traffic, including bike and pedestrian traffic, from 8:00 pm to 6:00 am.
Residents of Comox Road will be able to enter and exit from either end overnight.
Two way traffic will be able to flow on Comox Hill during the night shift, before returning to one-way westbound traffic by 6:00 am on Thursday, September 4.
Construction is subject to suitable weather conditions or other possible construction-related delays.
Businesses remain open on Comox Road and Comox Avenue throughout construction. Drivers are asked to use the official detour routes to help keep traffic flowing.
