The City of Campbell River has two new publicly accessible Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) in service.
They’ve been installed at Robron and Willow Point Parks.
The AEDs are housed in secure, heated, and alarmed outdoor cabinets, which the City says ensures they’re ready for use when needed most.
This initiative was inspired by a recent medical incident at the Rotary Community Field House, where quick access to an AED made a difference.
Adding these two new AEDs, the City says, is a proactive step toward improving cardiac emergency preparedness across the community.
In a post on Facebook, the City thanked community members who highlighted the need, along with City staff who helped make the project possible.
