The Transportation Safety Board has deployed a team to Tofino following a plane crash that killed two people.
RCMP say the crash occurred shortly before 1pm on Thursday.
Police said in a news release the injured person was pulled from a Cessna 421 Golden Eagle after it crashed on the runway and was taken to hospital.
The other two occupants died at the scene.
It appears the plane may have suffered an engine fire during takeoff.
The Tofino RCMP is working with the TSB and BC Coroners Service to determine the cause.
