The Transportation Safety Board has sent in a team after a plane crash earlier this week outside of Campbell River.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, when a small aircraft - a De Havilland Beaver - went down near Wolf Creek, about 18 km south of the city.
Two people were on board and Search and Rescue crews managed to get them out, airlifting them to hospital, where they were both being treated for non-life threatening minor injuries.
The TSB is an independent agency that investigates air, marine, pipeline, and rail transportation occurrences.
Its sole aim is the advancement of transportation safety - not to assign fault or determine liability.
Comox RCMP are assisting with the investigation.
