Transit Rider Appreciation Day returns on Friday, December 5, and the Comox Valley Regional District is adding a little magic to the morning commute.
The Transit Elf will be back again this year, popping up to spread cheer, hand out treats, and share small gifts with riders.
Throughout the day, the Transit Elf will make surprise appearances at transit exchanges and onboard multiple routes.
There is no set schedule, so riders may encounter her at any point during their trip.
With the holidays approaching, Michael Zbarsky, CVRD Manager of Transit and Facilities, also notes that the gift of transit is a convenient and affordable option for students, families, and commuters.
