There will be a full road closure at the intersection of Birch Street and 4th Avenue in Campbell River today from 7am to 10:30am.
It’s for paving work as part of the City of Campbell River’s Asphalt Overlay Program, which is an ongoing initiative aimed at maintaining, repairing, and extending the lifespan of existing roadways.
Detour routes will be provided.
Meanwhile, contractors are installing a new traffic signal controller today at the corner of Lerwick Road and College Campus Road, near Home Depot and the Comox Valley Aquatic Centre.
Work is underway and the traffic lights will be turned off for several hours, with traffic control personnel on-site directing all commuters.
