In Courtenay, work is happening at Lerwick & McDonald Roads until 11am Thursday morning.
Work began at 4am and the traffic lights have been turned off.
There is no road closure, but lane reductions are in place on all 4 approaches.
Traffic control is on site, and movement on Lerwick will be prioritized.
Meanwhile, paving continues on Cumberland Road Thursday, between Bevan Road and the Peace Park, from 730am to 4pm. Crews began work on Wednesday.
Traffic there is reduced to single lane alternating with traffic control personnel onsite to direct vehicles and pedestrians.
