Campbell River RCMP are reminding motorists to be prepared for significant traffic changes along the 16th Avenue corridor this Spring and Summer.
Constable Maury Tyre says police are already receiving a significant amount of complaints regarding motorists who are not following directions of traffic control personnel and temporary road signage.
He notes that construction will be continuing for several months and motorists are being asked to exercise patience and pay close attention to the changes in traffic direction.
Motorists are further reminded that their behaviour determines the safety of the workers on road sites and any negligence by drivers resulting in a worksite injury could result in criminal charges.
