The Town of Comox is encouraging residents to start preparing now for this year’s municipal election.
The vote is scheduled for October 17, and officials are reminding residents to make sure they’re registered.
The Town uses the Provincial Voters List, so anyone who has moved or had a change in information over the past four years is being asked to confirm their details.
Residents can update, add or remove their information through Elections BC.
The Town is also encouraging future voters to register early.
People who are 16 or 17 years old, are Canadian citizens and live in B.C. can sign up now and will automatically be registered once they turn 18.
Officials say registration can be completed online, and more information about the upcoming municipal election is available at Town of Comox.
