The Town of Comox is approaching a pretty big milestone.
The one millionth visitor to the Fitness Studio at the Comox Community Centre will soon be walking through the doors since a renovation in 2011.
As part of the celebration on Monday, April 17th, anyone visiting the Centre can enter their name to win a one-month, six-month, or one-year membership.
In marking the occasion, the recreation team invites the community to celebrate and reminisce Tuesday, April 18th, starting at 11:00 a.m.
At the event, the team will announce the winners of the membership draws with a community thank you from the Town’s Mayor.
Ted Hagmeier, Recreation Director, says the one-millionth visitor proves that the Centre is an essential service, not just for the physical aspect, but also for offering the community a healthy consistency of day-to-day routines and services.
