The Town of Comox has launched a new accessibility map, designed to help residents and visitors navigate the community with confidence and comfort.
This online map highlights accessibility features throughout Comox, including elevation information for sidewalks and trails, accessible parking stalls, washrooms, pathways and community amenities.
By providing this information in one easy-to-use tool, the Town aims to support mobility for people of all ages and abilities.
Mayor Nicole Minions says the map is a practical tool that enhances understanding of accessibility in the community and says they recognize the importance of accessibility for everyone.
“Whether you’re using a mobility aid, pushing a stroller, or simply want to get around a challenging terrain, this map can help you plan the safest route.”
The map, developed with support and grant funding from The Social Planning and Research Council of British Columbia, is now live and available at Town of Comox.
