There is an open house this afternoon for Town of Comox residents to share their ideas for the future of parks and trails.
The town says the community will help shape the Town’s first Parks and Trails Master Plan, which will guide how the Town improves its parks and trails over the next decade and beyond.
Today’s open house is happening at d’Esterre Seniors’ Centre from 430pm to 630pm.
There is also a survey up at Engage Comox Valley until April 29th.
Mayor Nicole Minions says as Comox continues to grow, it’s important to consider community needs, emerging trends, and opportunities to provide high-quality parks, active outdoor recreation and trail experiences for our residents to enjoy.
The initial phase of engagement is focused on gathering ideas from the community, including how residents use Comox parks and trails today and their ideas for a future network that is inclusive and sustainable.
Initial input will inform the draft directions to be explored in Phase 2 of the process planned for later in the summer.
