The 2026 Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock is making its way toward Campbell River and the Comox Valley as the annual Vancouver Island fundraiser enters its third day.

The team began its 14-day journey in Port Alice on Saturday before travelling through Port Hardy and Port McNeill on Sunday.

On Monday, the riders will cycle from Port McNeill through Woss before arriving in Sayward.

They will continue from Sayward to Campbell River tomorrow, then travel through Black Creek, Courtenay and Comox on Wednesday.

On Thursday, the team will leave Courtenay and head south through Union Bay, Qualicum Beach and Parksville.

This year’s riders include police officers, firefighters, paramedics, military personnel and community members.

Representing our region are Courtenay RCMP member Jordan Koster and Campbell River community rider Lacey Emery.

The team will cover approximately 1,200 kilometres before completing the ride in Victoria on October 2nd.

Money raised through Tour de Rock supports the Canadian Cancer Society’s pediatric cancer research and programs for children and families, including Camp Goodtimes.

Residents are encouraged to watch for the riders and cheer them on as they pass through local communities.
