It was a big weekend for The Comox Valley Child Development Association.
The 47th telethon raised more than $127,000 yesterday, the third highest total ever.
Donations included a whopping $25-thousand cheque from Lacasse Construction and an anonymous $10-thousand donation that came in as the broadcast was winding down.
As well, a 32-kilometre trek from the Baynes Sound Lions, raised more than $11-thousand, as Lions walked from Fanny Bay to the Sid Williams theatre pushing their big yellow wheelbarrow.
The telethon was held in front of a live audience at the Sid yesterday for the first time since before the Covid-19 pandemic began.
