The City of Courtenay has launched a survey as it works on its Downtown Vitalization Local Area Plan for the downtown and Harmston Park.
The plan is meant to set the stage for future growth, partnerships, innovation and connections in the areas.
As Courtenay continues to grow, the LAP will outline key actions to encourage residential and commercial growth that complements the community, to offer more engaging programs and activities in civic spaces, and to strengthen connections throughout downtown, making it more accessible for everyone.
The goal is to ensure the downtown remains a supportive hub for current and future residents, organizations and businesses.
More than 130 people attended an open house last week and shared feedback on early design concepts for each planning district - Riverfront, Downtown Core, Fitzgerald Corridor, and Harmston Park.
You can fill out the survey, by June 4th, at Engage Comox Valley.
