There’s still time to have your say on what happens next with the Courtenay and District Memorial Outdoor Pool.
The City’s public survey wraps up this Sunday, October 19, and officials are encouraging residents to share their thoughts before it closes.
Built in 1949, the pool has served the Comox Valley for more than seven decades, but it’s now at the end of its life. Without a major renovation or replacement, it will eventually have to shut down.
Past feedback shows strong community support for keeping the pool at Lewis Park, and all of the City’s design options are focused on that existing site.
Through an ongoing study, Courtenay is exploring whether to repair, renovate, or completely rebuild the facility.
You can review the options and complete the survey online at engagecomoxvalley.ca/outdoor-pool.
All input will be shared with council later this fall to help guide the next steps for the future of the pool.
