There will be a pair of online sessions today on wildfire safety.
The Strathcona Regional District has been holding public sessions for the last couple of months and says residents have asked for virtual components.
Today’s sessions will both run from 2pm to 3pm, and then 630pm to 730pm.
Participants will learn more about:
• FireSmart Principals to increase home’s wildfire survivability
• Community Wildfire Protection Plans & Resiliency Plans
• Alertable Notifications, Evacuation Alerts & Orders
• Emergency Support Services
• Wildfire Season Outlook & More
Both sessions will cover the same content & pre-registration is not required.
