A severe storm ripped through the region yesterday, causing many power outages and damage to properties.
The wind - with gusts in the 100 kph range - also tore siding off a number of homes, and did a lot of damage to fences.
Some roof siding was even torn off of a house at 545 Holm Road, with large pieces of sheet metal siding scattered across the front lawn.
BC Hydro says power was outage for about 275 customers in Campbell River and the Comox Valley, most of which on Quadra Island, due to downed trees and lines.
Ferries were canceled from Campbell River to Quadra, but things seem to be back on schedule Friday.
However, the canceled bookings yesterday means today is pretty packed up.
