Following the release of plans for other area communities, the Strathcona Regional District will observe the national holiday on Monday to mark the
day of mourning for the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.
The Regional District Corporate Office on Cedar Street in Campbell River will be closed and the Strathcona Gardens Recreation Complex will minimized their operations on Monday. The arenas will remain open for all booked user groups. There will be an everyone welcome skate from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The pool will be closed.
In a statement, the SRD says it acknowledges the closures and cancellations may cause an inconvenience to some residents, and recommend the use of its website www.srd.ca for more information about programming and services.
