SRD Announces Approval Of Integrated Community Sustainability Plan For Electoral Area C, Discovery Islands And Mainland Inlets

The Strathcona Regional District has approved the Integrated Community Sustainability Plan for Electoral Area C, Discovery Islands & Mainland Inlets.

“The high-level direction of the Integrated Community Sustainability Plan is a great foundation for Area C, Discovery Islands & Mainland Inlets. We can move forward with more clarity as we undertake more detailed planning for the future of our beautiful corner of the world” said SRD Area C Director, Robyn Mawhinney. 

“Many thanks to the community members who participated and task force members who provided their input and assistance in the completion of this plan.”

The purpose of the plan is to help get community members on the same page, moving forward together toward a shared vision.

This ICSP establishes a long-term vision and goals for Electoral Area C, and will guide the future development of more detailed, regulatory planning documents, such as Official Community Plans and zoning bylaws.
