The gym at the Campbell River Sportsplex will remain closed for the rest of the week.
It was supposed to open on Tuesday of this week as work was underway to refinish the gym floor, but some extra time is needed to help with the protective coating.
The closure is now in effect until Saturday.
Participants registered in programs or classes that are affected by the closure were to be contacted directly.
The rest of the Sportsplex facility has reopened for its regular operating hours.
