Residents will have a chance to watch one of Canada's premier military demonstration teams in action later this summer.
The Canadian Armed Forces Parachute Team, known as the SkyHawks, will perform a skydiving demonstration at Willow Point Park on July 29.
The team is made up of 13 members from the Canadian Army, Royal Canadian Navy, and Royal Canadian Air Force, including both Regular Force and Reserve personnel from a variety of professional backgrounds.
The performance will feature precision parachuting and aerial manoeuvres that showcase the skill, teamwork, and physical fitness required of the team.
The free event runs from 12:30 until 2:30 p.m. at Willow Point Park's Fields 4 and 5 on South Alder Street.
Following the demonstration, spectators will have an opportunity to meet the SkyHawks, ask questions, get autographs, take photos, and learn more about the parachutes and equipment used during the show.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair.
