A section of Old Island Highway, near Rye Road in Courtenay, will be reduced to single lane alternating traffic on Monday.
Traffic control personnel are on hand to assist.
The temporary lane closure will be from 9am-5pm and the City of Courtenay asks that drivers proceed with caution.
