Seasonal maintenance work is set to begin this week at two Campbell River boat ramps.

City crews will clear sediment and driftwood from the Ken Forde and Big Rock boat ramps to prepare them for increased seasonal use.

Work at the Ken Forde Boat Ramp is scheduled for tomorrow (April 21). Motorists and boaters can expect disruptions while crews are on site.

Maintenance at the Big Rock Boat Ramp will run from Wednesday through Friday.

The ramp may be partially or fully closed at times for public safety while the work is completed.

During that period, the City is encouraging people to use the Ken Forde Boat Ramp instead.

The City says all work will follow its memorandum of understanding with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans.

Residents with concerns or those needing to report an incident are asked to contact the City of Campbell River.
