School District 72's international student program is looking for families to host their grade 9-12 international students who will study here starting in September 2023.
While you’d be welcoming a safe home, with parental supervision, a private bedroom, healthy meals - and good Wi-Fi - the program does offer $950 to cover costs.
In a release, the district says the role that homestay hosts play is a very important part of the district’s International Student Program, ongoing since 2005.
Host families are an international student’s front line of support while they are studying abroad.
An info session on the program is coming up - at the board offices on April 13th. It will also be streamed on Facebook Live.
