The Campbell River & North Island Transition Society & the Kinette Club of Campbell River are presenting a film screening of ‘A Better Man’ this evening at Rivercity Theatre.
The film is co-directed by Attiya Khan & Lawrence Jackman.
The film focuses on a woman who confronts her ex-partner who’d abused her when they were 18, bringing forth the idea that the abuser can be part of the healing process.
It’s about Khan’s own experience.
It starts at 6:30 pm, tickets are only $5, with all proceeds benefiting the supports & services that the Campbell River & North Island Transition Society offers, helping women & children fleeing violent situations.
