The giving continues this holiday season.

Families at Jeneece Place have one less anxiety, thanks to the generous support of eight Greater Victoria Save-On-Foods stores.

Save-On-Foods delivered $800 in gift cards to Jeneece Place earlier this month - the 8th year the stores have rallied together in support of families staying at Jeneece Place.

The gift cards will go to stock the pantry at the home away from home for families staying there while their children are in hospital.

Veronica Carroll, CEO of Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island, says it’s welcome support for families who won’t have to go out grocery shopping, and instead focus on their child’s health.

Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island has invested in the health of Island kids for 96 years.

Its signature program, Bear Essentials, supports the cost of adaptive equipment and health-related travel for Island kids at two homes - Jeneece Place in Victoria and Qwalayu House in Campbell River - providing affordable accommodation adjacent to major hospitals to keep families close when their kids need to travel for health care.
