The manhunt in Saskatchewan for Myles Sanderson has ended in his death.

RCMP say Sanderson was located in a stolen vehicle yesterday and they managed to divert him into a ditch near the town of Rosthern.

He was taken into custody but then went into medical distress soon after.

He was pronounced dead in a Saskatoon hospital.

An unnamed official earlier said that Sanderson died of self-inflicted injuries.

Ten victims remain in hospital.

Three are in a critical condition.

Police say we may never know why Sanderson and his brother, Damien Sanderson, went on a killing spree Sunday.

Ten people were killed in James Smith Cree Nation and the nearby village of Weldon.

Damien Sanderson was found dead in a grassy area near one of attack sites on Monday.
