Sanitary sewer flushing work is underway in Cumberland.
It will help to clear out gravel, grease and debris that can block sewer lines. Before crews start work in your area, you will receive a notice with tips on how to avoid water splashing from your toilets.
The Town says you may also smell a sewer odour if the force of the flushing clears standing water from the drain traps in your home.
That can be eliminated by flushing your toilets and running water in all your drains, including any floor drains.
