The Salvation Army in the Comox Valley is set to break ground on its new Church and Family Services facility.
The event is taking place Saturday at 11:00 AM, marking a significant milestone in what the organization says is an ongoing commitment to the community.
The Salvation Army building on Fitzgerald Avenue, there for over 60 years, has been retired and the group says their new facility will honour the rich history of service and community engagement.
Brent Hobden, Community Ministries Director, expressed gratitude for the community's support, stating, "It is through the faithful support of our donors and community that this new building will stand as a beacon of hope, a place of refuge, and a champion of dignity for the people of the Comox Valley."
