The Saanich bank, which was closed three weeks ago after a shootout involving police and twin brothers, has now reopened. Six officers were wounded after being shot at the BMO branch on Shelbourne Street on June 28th.
A new sign at the bank reads, "Thank you for your courage, bravery and support. We stand together."
The bank now has security guards posted - and says they will be there the rest of the week.
Six police officers, members of the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team were injured in the shootout - three from Saanich and three from Victoria.
Three officers continue to receive treatment for their injuries. In a statement, BMO says it deeply appreciates the courage of police officers involved - and has made a donation to the Saanich and Victoria Police Association.
The shooters -- 22 year old twin brothers - were shot and killed on the scene.
