The Strathcona Regional District is getting set to open the doors of the Just Like Home Lodge and Health Professionals Housing.
The SRD calls it a milestone worth celebrating, saying it wouldn’t have been possible without Seymour Pacific Homes and the Campbell River Hospital Foundation, generous donors, community partners, and everyone whose vision and dedication helped make the day possible.
Located next to Campbell River Hospital, the development will provide accommodation for patients, families, caregivers, and visiting health professionals.
Construction began last fall.
The facility includes 10 independent units with communal living space, shared kitchen, laundry and day room facilities, along with 20 fully self-contained Workforce Housing units for healthcare professionals, which should help attract and retain essential workers in the region.
The invitation only ribbon cutting is set for August 25th.
