It’s not quite ready for business yet, but there will soon be a new, although temporary, option to recycle your returnables in the Comox Valley.
The solar-powered Express & GO station is being set up at Comox Mall - it arrived over the weekend.
Crews will take the next few weeks getting things organized and operational.
The Town says the interim solution recognizes the gap in service until a larger multi-material recycling depot is established.
Users will bring their unsorted containers in clear plastic bags to the Express & Go, where they will be sorted and counted - then, a credit will be applied to customers' online accounts.
More details will be made available through Return It and the Comox Mall closer to its opening.
