Comox Valley RCMP is looking for witnesses to a collision that happened last week.
It happened last Monday, June 29, at or near the Comox Valley Parkway between 3:45 p.m. and 4:25 p.m.
Police received a report from an elderly motorcyclist that he had just been involved in a collision and required medical attention.
The motorcyclist had already returned home before making the call and unfortunately had very little recollection of what happened.
Investigators examined the motorcycle and found evidence that a collision had occurred and that it likely occurred on the Comox Valley Parkway between Union Road and Cumberland Road.
However, it may have occurred in the areas of Hamm Road, Cumberland Road, Piercy Road, 19a and the Inland Island Highway in that area.
Constable Monika Terragni says police are hoping that anyone who may have been in the area during the time frame, or who may have dashcam footage, or witnessed the collision, will come forward.
She says even the smallest detail could help advance the investigation and determine exactly what happened.
The victim sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries and is recovering.
Anyone with information or dash camera footage, is asked to contact the Comox Valley RCMP at 250-338-1321 and refer to file 2026-9920. If you wish to remain anonymous, contact Comox Valley Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
