Campbell River residents will have a chance to find a bargain and give broken household items a second life when the Repair Café and Garage Sale return to the Sportsplex next month.

The City’s Recreation and Culture Department is combining the two free community events on Saturday, October 24, 2026.

The garage sale will fill the Sportsplex gymnasium with gently used goods, unique finds and plenty of opportunities for bargain hunting.

At the same time, skilled volunteers at the Repair Café will attempt to fix a variety of household items, including small appliances, clothing and faulty power tools.

Residents can bring anything they are able to carry into the facility themselves.

The event encourages people to repair and reuse household goods instead of sending them to the landfill, while also offering an affordable way to shop for previously owned items.

The Repair Café and Garage Sale will run from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Campbell River Sportsplex.

Admission is free and spots are limited.
