Communities across the North Island paused yesterday on Remembrance Day to honour the courage and sacrifice of those who served, and those who never came home.
In Campbell River, residents gathered at Spirit Square downtown for the annual ceremony hosted by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 137.
In Comox, ceremonies were hosted by Branch 160, which included a Kingfisher flypast.
Groups also gathered for ceremonies in Comox & Cumberland, as well as services at local Royal Canadian Legion branches
As a reminder, because there was no waste collection yesterday, things shift by a day the rest of the week.
