On May 17, members of the Campbell River Street Crime Unit, with the assistance of the Major Crime Unit and Crime Reduction Unit, executed a search warrant at a house in the 300 block of Evergreen Road. Ten people were located in the residence and in a motorhome on the property.
Two Campbell River men in their 60s were arrested for drug trafficking. The remaining occupants were sent on their way.
In total 37 grams of crack cocaine, 4 grams of Fentanyl, $720 and a prohibited sawed-off shotgun were located and seized.
In addition, almost 20,000 illegal cigarettes were seized from the property.
Drug trafficking and firearms charges are being recommended against the two men who were arrested. Federal and Provincial charges related to the illegal cigarettes are also being suggested.
