SRD staff will be hosting the final open house session for Quadra Island residents later today as it seeks feedback on the future of the community.
The District says sessions held last week were well attended and they’re hoping for more input at today’s open house - running from 4pm to 8pm at the Quadra Community Centre.
The input received from the open house sessions will help shape topic-specific group discussions scheduled to begin in January.
They’ll focus on specific policy areas within the Official Community Plan, including housing, water and waste management, transportation, agriculture, parks, environmental protection, and local economic development.
There will also be opportunities to explore other key issues raised by participants.
Additional open houses are being planned for the Outer Islands in the coming months.
