A public hearing will happen next week as Campbell River gets set to update its Official Community Plan.
The hearing is happening Monday, July 20, at 6pm in Council Chambers.
The Official Community Plan applies to the entire municipality and sets out a renewed, long-term vision for Campbell River’s future.
It includes updated land use designations and community policies to guide growth and development over the next 20 years.
The City says the update reflects current community priorities, evolving economic conditions, and anticipated population growth.
The proposed bylaw provides a comprehensive framework to manage growth and support the long-term livability, resilience, and economic vitality of Campbell River.
Written submissions received by 2 p.m. on Wednesday will be included in the Council Agenda Package and will form part of the Public Hearing record.
A hard copy of the proposed Official Community Plan is available for viewing at City Hall during regular business hours.
