It's another Pro-D Day at Campbell River and area schools today.

As students have a day off after trick or treating, SD72 staff, regardless of role, will be participating in this annual day of learning about reconciliation, equity & inclusion.

The school board says it's part of its commitment to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Calls to Action; & the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.

It is NOT a Pro-D Day in SD71.

In the meantime, it's day one for newly elected school board trusted in SD72.

The board's inaugural meeting goes tonight from 7pm to 9pm.
