There is more on a potential strike action involving employees at the Comox Valley Sports and Aquatic Centres.
On Monday, the union representing more than one hundred people who work at the facilities, issued a 72-hour strike notice to the Comox Valley Regional District.
That means they will be in a legal strike position as of Thursday.
United Steelworkers Local 1-1937 said members voted 100-percent for strike action earlier this month should the two sides not come to an agreement.
The union noted there is still work to be done on seniority and wage issues.
In an update yesterday, Local 1-1937 said it had reached out to the CVRD to continue negotiations.
While the District said it was ready to head back to the bargaining table, no dates have been set to this point.
