Campbell River RCMP say possession of child pornography charges have been approved after the arrest of a 39 year old man in the summer.
Police say their investigation into Jeffrey Falk, led by the Campbell River RCMP Major Crime Unit, began in May, following information received from the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children.
A search warrant was executed on a Campbell River residence on June 25th and resulted in the seizure of a substantial collection of images and videos.
Falk is due in court next month.
“The presence of Child Pornography on the internet is prevalent and deeply concerning,” explained Constable Maury Tyre.
“Investigations into Child Pornography on the internet are extremely labour intensive and time consuming and it is a success that we were able to build the case that was necessary to bring this matter before the courts.”
