Parts of Eastern Canada will see a total solar eclipse for about 3 or 4 minutes today.
It’s only a partial eclipse for BC - and even then - the clouds are expected to be in the way.
The moon will pass in front of the sun, completely blocking it from the Earth.
While Eastern Canadians will be getting the full show, the moon will only block about 25 percent of the sun’s rays on Vancouver Island.
For this part of the Island, the partial eclipse is expected to start at 10:40 a.m., but with clouds and showers in today's forcast, it’s possible we won’t notice too much of a difference.
If there happens to be a break in the clouds - make sure to not look up unless you have the proper safety glasses.
