As we told you on Thursday, Comox Valley Airport staff are encouraging travellers to plan ahead, as parking at Comox Valley Airport is expected to be limited during peak travel periods.

While the airport has indicated on-site parking will be harder to find due to higher-than-normal holiday volumes, it’s also highlighting a few more options, including the use of local park-and-fly hotel packages, which allow travellers to leave their vehicles off-site while away.

The Holiday Inn Express and Suites Courtenay-Comox, located about 11 minutes from the airport, offers park-and-stay packages that include overnight accommodation and extended parking during a traveller’s trip.

The hotel notes the option can help reduce early-morning driving and concerns about full airport parking lots.

Crown Isle Resort, located roughly 8 minutes from the airport, is also offering a park-and-fly option.

The resort’s package includes overnight accommodation, complimentary long-term parking, and transportation to and from the airport.

Parking duration varies depending on the length of stay before and after a trip.

Comox Valley Airport says planning transportation in advance is key during the busy holiday travel period.

More information on parking and ground transportation options is available at Comox Airport.
