The Old Island Highway between Comox Road and Puntledge Road will be closed overnight (7 p.m. to 6 a.m.) this week, to allow for the installation of new sewer main as part of the Comox Road Sewer Project.

Work will take place through Friday.

Detours will be in place: North bound via Comox Road and Hwy 19A Bypass, and South bound via Ryan Road and Hwy 19A Bypass.

If you're heading to the Lewis Centre or LINC Youth Centre from West Courtenay, you're asked to take the 17th Street Bridge.

The parking lots remain open for access from the Ryan Road direction.
