Campbell River RCMP are investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle yesterday morning.

It occurred around 530am in the 300 block of Cedar Street.

One woman is in hospital in serious, but stable condition.

The area of Cedar Street was closed for several hours during the investigation.

If you were in the area at the time - between 5am and 530am yesterday - and may have seen anything, or have dashcam footage, you’re asked to call Campbell River RCMP.

Constable Maury Tyre made note to thank members of the public for their patience during the closure - especially the students that had to adjust their route to school.
