One person has died after a fire on Denman Island.
In a post to Facebook, Denman Island Fire Rescue said crews responded to a structure fire at about 3am Tuesday on Thomas Road. A total of 22 members responded to the call.
The fire was contained but one person died in the fire. DIFR said no firefighters were hurt or injured and the crew sends its sincere condolences to all those touched by the loss.
The post did not indicate the cause of the fire.
